The Weirdest Places in the World; a list of bizarre scenarios

Listverse has published a curious list of 10 places you don’t really want to visit. From the snake-infested jungle of the Ilha da Queimada Grande, Brasil, to the radiation poisoned Zone of Chernobyl, these are truly wonders of nature, perfect scenarios for some Heartbreak Motel films. These locations are enough to give almost any scenario a much darker twist. Whether it’s a game of Party Poker at a glamorous dinner party, or a car-chase from corrupt authorities, any scene is sure to seem twice as tense when shot against any one of these unpleasent backdrops. Tarkovsky’s Stalker is the only feature I know that has been inspired by one of these places with some catastrophic results.
